Carrier Approval

The standard a carrier has to clear before they touch your move.

Most carriers who apply to TruMove are turned away. This is the exact bar we hold them to, the stages they go through, and the things that get them removed.

Approval stages

Five stages from application to active.

  1. 01

    Application

Carrier submits authority, insurance, equipment list, and references. Incomplete applications never reach a human reviewer.

  2. 02

    Verification

We pull FMCSA, SAFER, and insurance certificates directly from the issuing systems. Documents are cross-checked against the application.

  3. 03

    Interview and inspection

A TruMove operations lead interviews the carrier, reviews crew structure and safety program, and inspects representative equipment.

  4. 04

    Trial moves

First moves run under added supervision. Communication, on-time, condition on delivery, and customer feedback are all scored.

  5. 05

    Active status

Carrier is approved for matching. Scorecard is recalculated after every move. Slip below threshold and the next job goes to someone else.

Auto-disqualifiers

Things that get a carrier removed, instantly.

These are non-negotiable. One trigger and the carrier is paused from matching while we review, or removed for good.

  • Lapsed or pending FMCSA authority
  • Insurance below TruMove minimums
  • Any unresolved out-of-service order
  • Driver records that fail our MVR standard
  • No telematics or GPS on the trucks
  • Refusal to operate on a published scorecard
