SMS / Text Messaging Policy
Last updated June 2026
This policy explains the TruMove SMS program: what messages we send, how often, what they cost, and how to stop them. You are only enrolled if you actively check an SMS opt-in box on a TruMove form.
1. Program
- Program name: TruMove Move Updates.
- Program operator: TruMove (trumoveinc.com).
- SMS support contact: support@trumoveinc.com.
2. How you opt in
- You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a TruMove form (quote request, specialist booking, contact request, or account signup).
- The SMS box is always its own separate checkbox, never combined with a call, email, or Terms & Conditions checkbox.
- The box is never pre-checked. You must actively select it.
- Submitting a form without checking the box does not enroll you in SMS.
- Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase or service.
3. Opt-in keywords and confirmation reply
- The primary way to opt in is the unchecked consent box on our web forms above.
- If you have previously sent STOP, you can re-subscribe by texting any of these keywords to the TruMove number you were messaging with: START, YES, UNSTOP, SUBSCRIBE.
- After opting in (via web form or keyword), you will receive a one-time confirmation auto-reply:
TruMove: You're opted in to move updates. Msg freq varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
4. Message types you may receive
- Quote follow-ups and questions from your TruMove coordinator.
- Appointment and specialist callback confirmations and reminders.
- Booking status updates (confirmation, rescheduling, cancellation).
- Move-day logistics: arrival windows, carrier contact info, access notes.
- Account notices: password resets, security alerts, and other transactional messages.
5. Message frequency
- Frequency varies based on your activity.
- Typical range: 1–5 messages per request or move milestone.
- You may receive more messages around your move date.
6. Message and data rates
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- TruMove does not charge for SMS messages; your carrier may.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. HELP and STOP instructions
- Reply HELP or INFO to any TruMove SMS for help and our contact info.
- Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to opt out at any time.
- After you send STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS from the program.
- You can also opt out by emailing support@trumoveinc.com with the subject line "SMS STOP".
- Opting out of SMS does not close your TruMove account or stop email notifications.
8. Supported carriers
- The program is available on major US mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, US Cellular, and others.
- Available carriers may change without notice.
9. Privacy
- Your mobile number is used only to deliver the messages described above and to provide customer support.
- We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
- We share your number with SMS infrastructure providers solely to deliver these messages.
- See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
9a. Consent audit record
- Every time you check an SMS consent box on a TruMove form, we store a permanent audit record of that opt-in.
- The record includes: your name, email, phone number, the exact consent wording and version you agreed to, the channels you authorized, the submission timestamp, your IP address, browser user-agent, and the page URL you submitted from.
- This record is kept solely to prove lawful consent to our messaging carriers and regulators, to honor STOP/HELP requests, and to respond to any dispute. It is not used for advertising.
- You can request a copy or deletion of this record at any time by emailing support@trumoveinc.com.
9b. Call and text consent are separate
- Every TruMove form (SafetyWeb match, book-a-call, the contact card on /contact, quote request, and account signup) presents SMS consent as its own standalone checkbox, separate from any checkbox for call or email consent. Neither box is pre-checked, and checking one does not check the other.
- By checking the SMS box, you expressly consent under the TCPA to receive text messages from TruMove at the number you provided about your move. By separately checking a call box, you consent to receive calls, including calls placed with an autodialer or a prerecorded/AI voice.
- Consent to either is not a condition of any purchase or service.
- To stop texts: reply STOP to any TruMove SMS (see section 7). To stop calls: tell us on the call, or email support@trumoveinc.com with the subject line "CALL STOP". The two channels are opted out independently.
- Every opt-in is written to the same audit record described in section 9a, with the SMS and call channels recorded separately.
10. Changes
- We may update this policy as the program evolves.
- Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
