Interstate and coast-to-coast relocations
Cross-country moves handled end to end.
A single vetted carrier and a dedicated TruMove coordinator from origin to destination.
Overview
Long distance moves live or die on chain of custody. TruMove is a licensed household goods broker, and we route every interstate relocation to a single vetted carrier who loads at origin and unloads at destination.
You get a binding-not-to-exceed estimate rooted in the assigned carrier's published tariff, live status updates the whole drive, and honest numbers that hold up on delivery day.

A single dedicated haul, tracked door to door.
Real jobs, not brochure copy
Two-bedroom apartment, remote-work office setup, and a Peloton. Assigned carrier loaded Friday in Oakland, delivered Sunday afternoon in East Austin on a single 26-foot dedicated truck. TruMove kept the client informed the whole way.
Four-bedroom Colonial with a piano, three kids' bedrooms, and 42 boxes of books. Full pack Thursday, load Friday by the assigned carrier, drive over the weekend, unload Monday with beds made first.
Downsized ranch home into a Bellevue townhouse. Climate-sensitive art and wine collection loaded last, unloaded first, and re-hung by the assigned carrier's install crew.

How it works
A 15-minute AI-assisted walkthrough builds an itemized inventory so the estimate reflects what you actually own, not a room-count guess.
We match your route, dates, and volume to a vetted long-haul carrier and lock in a binding-not-to-exceed price.
The carrier crew arrives inside a 60-minute window, pads and wraps, loads, and confirms the manifest with you before the truck leaves.
GPS updates and a live ETA the whole drive, with your coordinator on call.
Furniture placed room by room, boxes staged where you want them, and inventory reconciled item by item before signoff.
Scope & pricing
No lowball hooks. Estimates are binding-not-to-exceed, rooted in the carrier's published tariff and the specifics of your move.
FAQ
The questions we get most often about long distance moves.
Interstate moves are federally regulated by the FMCSA, priced by weight and distance under a published tariff, and require full DOT and MC authority. Local moves are hourly and state-regulated.
No. Every TruMove-coordinated long distance move is routed as a direct dedicated haul. The carrier crew that loads at origin is the same crew that unloads at destination.
Estimates are binding-not-to-exceed off a virtual survey with your assigned carrier. If weight was underestimated, the carrier absorbs it. If you add items after the survey, we requote with the carrier before load day.
FVP is the FMCSA's default liability tier: if something is lost or damaged, the carrier repairs, replaces, or pays cash value. It is quoted separately from the base move price.
A TruMove specialist will build the right plan, match the right crew, and lock in a price you can trust.
