Managed warehouse logistics through vetted carrier partners
Managed storage for high-value assets.
Managed storage coordinated by TruMove and held in vetted carrier-partner warehouses. 7x7x5 sealed wood vaults that breathe so your furniture does not sweat. High-fence vehicle yard partners for cars, boats, and RVs. Climate-controlled options for heat-sensitive inventory. Blanket-wrapped from pickup to delivery. This is not a hallway of roll-up doors you visit on weekends.
Overview
The gap between homes is where most moves go wrong. Closing dates slip, items sit on a truck for days, or belongings land in a self-storage unit with no inventory and no chain of custody. TruMove managed storage is a different product. TruMove coordinates a vetted carrier partner to blanket-wrap every item, load it into a numbered 7x7x5 wood vault, log it on a serialized manifest, and vault it inside a closed warehouse handled only by vetted carrier crews.
We work with two staffed carrier-partner warehouses in the TruMove network. A Bay Area facility includes a high-fence vehicle yard for cars, boats, and RVs. A Peoria facility is climate-controlled for the Mojave corridor and heat-sensitive inventory. Both are closed to the public. Only the assigned carrier's crews touch your vaults.
Wood vaults beat metal lockers because they breathe. Engineered wood panels let micro-airflow escape instead of pooling as condensation on your leather sofa or wood furniture. Every vault stays sealed for the duration of storage, with the blankets on, until the day the carrier loads direct from vault to truck to your new home.
Short-term storage-in-transit is common on interstate moves when the destination is not ready. Long-term vaulted storage runs month to month with scheduled retrieval on request, and climate-controlled options are available for heat-sensitive inventory like wood, leather, electronics, art, and instruments.

Family loaded in Hayward, vaulted at the Bay Area carrier partner, then delivered to Scottsdale six weeks later when the new home closed. Same manifest, one chain of custody.
3-bedroom contents blanket-wrapped, vaulted at the Peoria climate-controlled partner, and returned to the same address on schedule when the reno finished.

How it works
Tell us what you need to store and for how long. TruMove estimates vault count with the carrier partner (studio 1–2, 1BR 2–3, 2BR 3–5, 3BR+ 6–9) and confirms the actual number after load.
The carrier crew arrives with the truck, blanket-wraps your furniture, and loads directly into numbered wood vaults. Nothing sits on a concrete floor uncovered.
Vaults are sealed, shelved, and logged inside the carrier-partner warehouse. Blankets stay on. Access is closed to the public and every entry is recorded. Monthly billing with an itemized statement.
Need something back mid-storage? Submit a retrieval request through TruMove and the carrier schedules pull and delivery inside your window. Pulled by vault number, not by memory.
When your new home is ready, the carrier loads direct from vault to truck to destination, with the same manifest reconciled item by item at delivery.
Scope & pricing
No lowball hooks. Estimates are binding-not-to-exceed, rooted in the carrier's published tariff and the specifics of your move.
FAQ
The questions we get most often about storage solutions.
Self-storage is a public hallway of roll-up doors. Anyone with a code gets in, items sit uncovered on a concrete floor, uninsulated metal units can hit 130°F in summer, and you are the entire chain of custody. Managed storage is a closed carrier-partner warehouse: the assigned carrier's crews handle pickup, vaulting, and delivery; every item is blanket-wrapped inside a sealed wood vault; and every entry to the facility is logged.
Metal storage units sweat. Condensation forms on steel walls overnight, settles on leather and wood, and can breed mold over time. Engineered wood panels allow micro-airflow, letting moisture escape instead of pooling on your furniture.
Yes. The Peoria carrier-partner facility is climate-controlled for the Mojave corridor and recommended for solid wood furniture, leather and upholstery, electronics, art, wine, and instruments. Your TruMove coordinator quotes it before you commit.
Yes. A Bay Area carrier partner includes a high-fence vehicle yard for cars, boats, and RVs. Ask your TruMove coordinator about availability and access windows.
SIT is short-term storage (typically up to 90 days) attached to an interstate move when the destination is not yet ready. It is billed under the same move contract and stays under one manifest from origin to final delivery.
Yes, by appointment. Retrieval requests are scheduled through TruMove and pulled by vault number. The carrier does not offer walk-in self-serve access because everything is sealed inside vaults, blanket-wrapped, and logged.
Common scenarios include office moves where you store furniture and equipment during the transition so business keeps running, downsizing to a smaller home where you keep belongings you're not ready to part with, and long-distance staging between the Bay Area and Phoenix where we store at either end and deliver when your new home is ready. Also: closing dates that don't align, home renovations, and extended travel.
