Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026
These Terms govern your use of the TruMove website, customer portal, and tools. By creating an account or requesting a quote, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
- TruMove is a software and coordination platform for residential and commercial moves.
- We help you plan, build an inventory, request quotes, and coordinate with vetted carriers.
- The actual move is performed by independent licensed and insured motor carriers.
- TruMove is not the motor carrier of record unless stated in a separate signed agreement.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@trumoveinc.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Quotes and estimates
- Quotes generated in the platform are estimates, not binding contracts.
- Estimates are based on the inventory, addresses, dates, and access details you provide.
- Final pricing is confirmed in a written agreement with the assigned carrier.
- Pricing may change if move-day conditions differ from what you submitted.
- Common adjustments: added items, long carries, stairs, shuttle service, storage, delays.
4. Carrier services
- Packing, loading, transport, storage, and unloading are provided by independent carriers.
- Each carrier operates under its own contract, tariff, and insurance program.
- Claims for loss or damage are handled by the carrier under its valuation coverage.
- TruMove will help facilitate communication but is not liable for the carrier's acts or omissions.
5. Bookings, deposits, and cancellations
- A move is booked when you accept a carrier's written agreement.
- Deposits, balances, and additional charges follow that signed agreement.
- Cancellation windows, fees, and refund timing are defined by the carrier's agreement.
- Rescheduling is subject to carrier availability and may affect pricing.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed by the carrier or by TruMove on the carrier's behalf.
- Authorized payment methods include major credit cards, ACH, and other listed options.
- Disputed charges should first be raised with TruMove support to coordinate resolution.
- Unpaid balances may result in suspension of service and standard collection action.
7. Your content
- You retain ownership of inventory data, photos, voice notes, and documents you submit.
- You grant TruMove a limited license to host, process, and display that content.
- We may share that content with the carrier and service providers needed for your move.
- You confirm you have the right to share any content you upload.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the service.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share.
- Ship prohibited or hazardous items, including flammables, explosives, or illegal goods.
- Interfere with other users, carriers, or the normal operation of the platform.
- Scrape, resell, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
9. Prohibited and restricted items
- Hazardous materials: gasoline, propane, paint, fireworks, ammunition, chemicals.
- Perishables: food that can spoil, plants, frozen items.
- High-value items requiring special handling: cash, jewelry, sensitive documents.
- Illegal items of any kind.
- Talk to your coordinator before move day if you are unsure about an item.
10. AI features
- AI helps build inventories, transcribe voice notes, scan rooms, and chat with our assistant.
- AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
- Always review AI-generated inventory and pricing before confirming a move.
- You remain responsible for the accuracy of information you submit.
11. Service availability
- We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- Features may change, be added, or be removed as the service evolves.
- Planned maintenance and outages may temporarily affect access.
12. Disclaimers
- The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or meet every expectation.
13. Limitation of liability
- TruMove is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid to TruMove for the related move.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify TruMove against claims arising from your misuse of the service.
- This includes content you upload, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law.
15. Termination
- You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
- We may suspend access if your activity creates risk for other users, carriers, or the platform.
- Sections that should survive termination (content license, disclaimers, liability) remain in effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where TruMove is headquartered.
- Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion with support.
- Unresolved disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction unless required otherwise by law.
17. Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms as the service evolves.
- Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
- Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17a. Communications consent (calls, texts, email)
- When you check a consent box on a TruMove form (quote request, book-a-call, contact card, or the SafetyWeb match form), you expressly agree that TruMove and its coordinators may contact you at the phone number and email you provided about your move.
- This includes phone calls and SMS/MMS messages, including calls or texts placed using an autodialer, prerecorded voice, or AI voice, as permitted by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable state law.
- Consent to receive calls or texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.
- Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text to opt out of SMS. Ask us on the call, or email support@trumoveinc.com, to opt out of calls.
- We keep a permanent audit record of each consent submission (name, email, phone, exact consent wording and version, channels authorized, timestamp, IP address, user-agent, and page URL) so we can honor your choices and prove lawful consent.
- Full SMS program details are in our SMS Policy. Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
18. Contact
- Email: support@trumoveinc.com
- For move-specific questions, contact your assigned coordinator.
