Overview

What this service actually is.

Every hour your team cannot log in costs more than the move itself. TruMove plans commercial relocations on your operational calendar and dispatches a vetted commercial carrier crew: pack and load Friday night, transport and re-seat Saturday, IT smoke-tested Sunday, keyboards clicking Monday at 9.

TruMove coordinates directly with your facilities, IT, and building management so freight elevators, COIs, and after-hours access are locked before the first crate leaves the closet.

Real jobs, not brochure copy

Where commercial office actually gets called in.

Scenario 01

48-seat SaaS office to a new floor

Friday 6pm crate drop, Saturday overnight load and re-seat by the carrier crew, Sunday IT smoke test. Keyboards clicking Monday at 9. Zero downtime.

Scenario 02

Legal firm consolidating two floors

Phased occupancy across three weekends with law-library book carts and secure file transport under chain-of-custody labels, coordinated by TruMove.

Scenario 03

Biotech lab move with clean room

TruMove coordinated with facilities and EHS for sensitive equipment. Carrier crew disassembled systems furniture, freight elevator reserved, COIs issued to both building landlords.

Gear, materials & paperwork

Reusable plastic crates and library carts
Systems furniture (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth) tools
Labeled IT cable bundles with reseat map
Color-coded room and desk labels tied to the new floor plan
COIs issued to both buildings with any additional insured
Freight elevator reservations and dock scheduling

How it works

A predictable move, step by step.

  1. Site survey

TruMove walks both buildings with the carrier, capturing floor plans, freight paths, dock windows, and building rules.

  2. Move plan

You get a written plan with crate counts, labor headcount, and a minute-by-minute schedule for move night.

  3. Pre-move

Crates and labels dropped one week out by the carrier. Staff self-pack desks against a labeling standard TruMove provides.

  4. Move night

The carrier's IT decom, systems furniture, and freight teams run in parallel with a floor lead in each building and a TruMove coordinator on site.

  5. Day-one support

A carrier punch crew stays on site the first business morning to reseat monitors, adjust chairs, and handle stragglers.

FAQ

Answers before you ask.

The questions we get most often about commercial office.

Can you move us without shutting down operations?

Yes. Most clients choose a Friday-night load with a Monday-morning restart. Phased occupancy over multiple weekends is available for larger footprints.

Do you handle IT decommission?

Yes. The carrier crew labels, disconnects, and re-seats user workstations, and TruMove coordinates with your IT team or MSP for server and network moves.

Can you meet our building's COI requirements?

Yes. Send us the requirements from both landlords and the assigned carrier issues certificates naming the additional insureds before the move date.
